Default Language
Default Language automatically translates all messages in a channel to a specified target language.
Best for: Single channels where you want all messages automatically translated to one language.
Example use cases:
- A Spanish-only channel where all messages are translated to Spanish
- An announcements channel where messages are translated to the server's primary language
- A help channel for a specific language community
Channel Mirroring
Channel Mirroring (dashboard: Conversations) links specific channels so messages are translated and posted across the group in real time. Not sure how this differs from Auto Setup? Read Feature Terminology.
Best for: Linking specific channels together for multilingual conversations.
Example use cases:
- Support channels in multiple languages
- General chat rooms for different language communities
- Event discussion channels
Auto Setup
Auto Setup automatically creates and maintains translated versions of entire categories and channels. When you create a channel in the source category, matching channels are automatically created in all target language categories.
Best for: Servers that want to replicate entire sections across multiple languages with automatic channel creation.
Example use cases:
- Creating complete language-specific sections of your server
- Maintaining identical channel structures across multiple languages
- Large communities with many channels that need translation
Premium: Requires Server Boost - Groq Powered tier
