Guided Tours
The HephBot dashboard includes interactive guided tours that highlight UI elements and explain how to configure translations. Tours use step-by-step overlays — click Next, Back, or Skip at any time.
Opening tours
Main dashboard (? button)
On Dashboard → Home, click the ? (help) button in the header. A menu lists available tours:
| Tour | When to use |
|---|---|
| Getting Started | First visit — personal settings, server list, translation engines |
| Welcome to User Premium | After subscribing to user premium |
| Guild Premium Activated | After activating server premium |
| Thanks for Voting | After receiving a top.gg vote trial |
The Getting Started tour may also auto-start on your first dashboard visit if you have not completed it yet.
Server settings tours
Inside Dashboard → Server → Manage Settings, the same ? button opens server-specific tours:
| Tour | Covers |
|---|---|
| Server Settings Overview | Sidebar navigation, overview, configuration, translation sections |
| Engine & BYOK Setup | Translation engine picker, API keys, BYOK fields |
| Mirroring Guide | Conversations vs Auto-setup |
| Default Language Channels | Auto-translate channel rules |
| Flag Reaction Translations | Customization and flag delivery |
| Command Customization | Slash command names, roles, deploy |
Some steps navigate between sidebar sections automatically so the highlighted element is visible. Let the tour finish switching views before clicking Next.
Completion and replay
- Completed tours are tracked per account — they will not auto-start again on refresh
- Replay any tour anytime from the
?menu - User Settings lists completed tutorials for reference
Skipping a tour marks it complete for auto-start purposes; you can still replay it later.
Tips
- Run Server Settings Overview before configuring mirrors or default language for the first time
- After upgrading to BYOK, run Engine & BYOK Setup to locate API key and sampling fields
- Tours are viewport-aware — if a popup seems clipped, scroll slightly or resize the window and use Back then Next to reposition
